The local grocery had some of those darling Lady apples and I just had to buy them. I love mini anything. Lady apples are the perfect size for making candy apples. The problem with normal sized apples is that there is never enough caramel for a whole apple. And have you ever finished a caramel apple? With the Lady apples you take a couple of bites and you’re finished.
The recipe can be found here. I recommend halving the recipe to make about a pound of apples. Make sure you have an extra pair of hands to help with the stirring because it takes forever. Your arm will get tired sooner or later.
They turned out so well I may plate them up and serve them for Thanksgiving dessert. And they also would be darling in a dessert buffet.
